Skinny Fitness Role Models
Throughout history, there have been idols that pushed the boundaries of physical capabilities. While many idols, such as Arnold and the Rock, appear to be larger than life, there are a few fitness idols who push boundaries on the way we view skinnarians. The following is the list of three fitness role models who helped redefine what it means to be skinny:
Bruce Lee — “Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.”

Bruce Lee is a famous martial artist, artist, and an icon who influenced the world, not only with his physical capabilities but also his philosophy on meaning and consciousness. He was reported to be 5 ft 8 in at only 128 lbs during his prime. At one point Brue Lee managed to gain over 35 lbs of muscle, weighing 165 lbs. Lee ended up not being satisfied with the added weight, claiming that it slowed him down. He then changed his course of training to focus more on functional strength, which included stretching for flexibility, cardiovascular exercise for stamina and weight training for strength. Brue Lee died in his prime, leaving a legacy that would last forever. To this day he argued to be the best martial artist to ever live. Arnold reported admiring Bruce Lee’s capabilities and physique.
Chris Spealler — “Find your weaknesses, make friends with them, then beat them to death.”
